Tupton
RUFC win the League April 2010!! Last
week Tupton secured promotion and they needed to defeat second placed Boots to
secure the crown. Nottinghamshire side went
ahead and with a converted try before B. Marriot kicked a penalty for Tupton.
A penatlty gave the visitors a 10-3
lead at half time. Within 5 minutes
of the restart, L. Marriot went over for a try before A. Marriot also crossed
the line to give Tupton the lead. In
the 65th minute a drive from a line-out saw R. Kirk take the ball over to give
the hosts an 18-10 lead. And they held
on to clinch first place.

Tupton
RUFC Main Sponsor 2009 -2010
Total Waste Control first became involved with the
club in 2005, where after being approached by one of the customers employees about
sponsorship the directors were invited to a local derby clash against Chesterfield.
This lead to Total Waste Control becoming the proud sponsor of the 1st XV Kit.
Total Waste Control have continued to support the club
since this time with the Directors cheering on the lads from the side lines on
many occassions. Moving the team into the 21st Century Tupton 1st XV had
a new strip designed for the 2009-2010 season and once again Total Waste Control
have shown their support by becoming the main sponsor for the strip. Pictured
above are the Directors of Total Waste Control Denise and Elaine recieving a replica
shirt from the new playing strip.

We
sponsored the match ball on March 14th 2009 at Chesterfields home game to Dagenham,
which unfortunately resulted in a 1-1 draw, Dagenham equalising in the 93rd minute,
during injury time! We voted Lewis Montrose as man of the match although

day and quite a family affair! We got to see the inner sanctum of Chesterfield
Football Club, which will soon be relocating to the old Dema Glass site.
The ground will be seen in all its glory in the film 'Damned United' which is
the life story of Brian Clough, it's out in the next couple of months.
Thank you to the Hospitality
Staff for making Elaines son, Scott Masons 15th Birthday a very memorable one!
Sisters
are at it again! (Business
Times - Derbyshire Times 29th January 2009) Sisters
Denise Jones and Elaine Mason are celebrating their company's, Total Waste Control
Ltd., eighth anniversary by raising funds for Leukemia Research by producing another
'tongue and cheek' calendar for 2009.
 |
They have so far raised £5,500 for charity, namely The
Rainbows Children's charity and latterly, The Prostate Cancer charity.
This year they've nominated Leukemia Research for receipt
of donations, since one of their employees boyfriend was diagnosed with the condition
early in 2008and has been undergoing treatment and looking forward to a healthy
prognosis in 2009. Based at Coney Green Business
Centre, Total Waste Control Ltd provides a first class, professional, one-stop
shop for industrial waste disposal solutions, serving companies all over the UK,
specialising in bulk, drummed, packaged, dry and wet wastes. 2004
saw them achieve the accolade of the British Chamber's Regional winners of 'Entrepreneurs
of the Year' and subsequently profiled as case studies in many publications including
a full page profile in a national newspaper. |
"These are challenging times," says Denise "but
whatever the waste problem we can help, we challenge companies to see if we can
reduce their waste costs. We are also very fortunate to have a lot of support
from our customers who are happy to recommend us to others. "Our
service means that customers can concentrate on their core business and their
valuable time is not wasted on waste!"
CALENDAR GIRLS CLEAN UP!
(Derbyshire Times Thursday 29 May 2008
and Biz Log - Issue 2 February 2008 News & Views around NE Derbyshire Business
Centres) After seven years in business, sisters
Denise James and Elaine Mason are still pleased to be talking rubbish! The fledgling
waste management company they set up in February 2001 is now celebrating its 7th
anniversary. Based at Coney Green Business Centre, Total Waste Control
Ltd goes from strength to strength. Drawing on the expertise of Denise
and Elaine, who between them have considerable experience in the waste industry
and the financial sector – the company provides first class, one-stop shop
for industrial waste disposal solutions serving companies all over the UK. This
includes bulk, drummed, packaged, dry and wet washes including electrical goods
which now come under the new WEEE regulations.
 | With
regulations surrounding the acceptable disposal routes for wastes changing dramatically
over the recent years, there is growing pressure on business to recycle and review
their manufacturing processes in order to reduce waste streams. “These
are challenging times” says Denise “but whatever the waste problem
we can sort it. We are very fortunate to have a lot of support from our customers
who are happy to recommend us to others. Our service means that customers can
concentrate on their core business and their valuable time is not wasted on waste!” |
Being business women in a man’s
world has been a challenge and an advantage says Elaine. “You first have
to make them take you seriously but, in the long run, it helps you stand out and
be remembered.” And we have to say Total Waste Control Ltd
is very good at getting remembered! 2004 saw them achieve the accolade of
Regional winners of ‘Entrepreneurs of the Year’ and
subsequently profiled as case studies in publications including a full page profile
in the ‘Daily Express’. They have also raised £5,500
for charity; namely The Rainbows Children’s charity and the Prostate
Cancer charity, which they have achieved by producing ‘tongue in cheek’
calendars featuring the Directors and staff in various locations and poses!
The calendar was originally meant as a one-off project but the response to it
was overwhelming with many pre-ordering their following year's calendar.

Shirt sponsorship for Derbyshire rugby team
Total Waste Control Ltd has
celebrated its expansion into new, larger premises by supporting local sportsmen.
Total Waste Control, founded by sisters Denise James and Elaine Mason,
recently expanded into bigger units on the Coney Green Business Centre in
Clay Cross near Chesterfield and to mark the occasion they presented Tupton RUFC
with a new, sponsored team kit.
Elaine explains: “We have
enjoyed tremendous success over the last few years and we wanted to put something
back into the community. “One
of our regular customers, a local electroplating company, employs several
members of the Tupton team, and through them we were introduced to the rugby club.”
The club, based at the New
Inn, Tupton, play in the Division Two of the Derbyshire and Leicestershire League
and hope to build on the successes of last season which saw them reach the final
of a local cup competition despite finishing just below mid-table in the league.
“Tupton RUFC is going
from strength to strength, there is even talk of developing a second team and
we are proud to be the club’s first ever shirt sponsors,” continued
Denise. As well as providing
a boost for the club, the sponsorship deal will also help to raise the profile
of a company that has enjoyed continuous growth since it was founded, some four
and a half years ago, by the sisters who scooped the award for regional Entrepreneurs
of the Year at the at the British Chamber of Commerce Awards in 2004. In
a predominately male dominated industry, they provide a valuable service to a
wide range of companies in need of waste disposal services.
And, according to Elaine, the introduction of new legislation
on the disposal of waste means that more companies than ever are turning to them
for help. “A raft of new legislation
was introduced over recent months, making it more difficult than ever for companies
to dispose of hazardous as well as non-hazardous waste,” Elaine continues.
“By providing an effective waste management service we can take away
the worry that company bosses have about falling foul of the new laws which are
backed by severe penalties.” |
